A night with The Selby's...

Well, tonight I babysat for the Selby boys. They are so cute! They kept asking me about my dogs so I took them out back to see them, and Joey was getting mad. He wanted them to stop barking! He looked so serious as he was telling them to stop "barting" as he called it.

I had Jeffy too but he didn't really care too much about what the younger two boys were doing. He pretty much stayed to himself. Well, I am pretty much worn out so I am going to go to bed! Exhausted!!!

Hello again!

This weekend has been extremely busy. Today, was the busiest of all. I am planning a Girl's Retreat for the teen group & tonight we held a Chicken Noodle dinner/fundraiser. It was a lot of hard work & it took a lot of preparation. I am so thankful to ANYONE who helped in ANY way with this event. We raised around $300...PRAISE THE LORD!!!! We will continue to have "family oriented" dinners on Wed. nights throughout September to raise a little bit more to cover costs. I have NO doubt in my mind that the Lord will provide.

I have also had so many health issues this month. And, I am afraid I am not finished. I think my shingles are in my left ear, and it is really unpleasant. Last Wednesday I had some things removed from my shoulder/back & they were supposed to be able to not be bandaged up by TODAY. I still have to bandage them because they are messy looking & I have some pain going on with those too. I am going to have a nurse look at them tomorrow. I still have some pain on my left ankle, and still have some knots (some type of bug bite) and it's still swollen a bit. I did however, get me different antibiotics for my bladder infection & am feeling better from that standpoint.

I am getting excited about the month of September! I have something every single weekend except the first one! I like to stay busy with fun things, and September is going to be just that!

Another weekend...gone!

Hey everyone!
So, on Saturday Regan and her family came up and spent the night with us. I really enjoyed seeing them. I got to hear all about Rayanne's first few days of school! I can't believe how big she is. We spent a lot of quality time together and even shed a few tears. She's just too sweet. I really wish I could be closer to her. Alright, moving on...here are some pictures from the weekend. Stephanie went to her very first high school football game on Saturday night. She got all decked out in "knights" gear!

Well, even though it was a busy weekend, I still enjoyed it. I can't stand the fact that these kids are growing up:( That is all for now. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

What a week...

This week has been kinda hairy for me. I have had some kind of a "rash" on my face for about 2 weeks and on Monday, I decided I couldn't handle anymore of the itching & burning. My face looked weird and I was ready for it to go away. I got into the Dr. on Tuesday and I found out that I have had shingles! That's right.....they are so uncomfortable. They had talked about admitting me to the hospital, but because it was a half inch lower they decided that it wouldn't hurt my eyes. I was thankful. While I was there, I showed them my ankle. It has been swollen, red, and really sore! As if things couldn't get more complicated, I had been bit by a spider! And not just once, but 4 times!!! :( Needless to say, my ankle is still sore to the touch and red. There is really nothing they can do for either issue. My shingles are in the end stages so that is a good thing. My face and ear just itches! I also found out that the thing on my shoulder is a skin tag! I was relieved that it wasn't something more serious! I am getting that cut off next Wednesday. I am nervous, but I know it will not be a big deal. On Wednesday, I visited the dentist the first time in 2 1/2 years! I was sure that I would be going back in soon for some work, but......NO CAVITIES! I was so excited. I hate goin' to the dentist! So knowing that I don't have to go back for 6 months, is a BIG relief! So, I guess my week wasn't all that bad. I hope you all are having a good week, and everyone enjoy their weekend!

Ok, on Tuesday I decided that I didn't want to sit around the house all day so we headed to the mall to the play area they have inside. We were there for 2 hours!! The kids had a blast! After the mall, we went to Chic-fil-a to grab some lunch to take back home. Well, I couldn't find it! Aidan told me I was going the wrong way, and I thought he doesn't know what he's talkin' about! But I was wrong! I ended up going the way he told me and there it was! I told him he was the hero and he thought he was tough! How amazing that a 4 yr old knows his way around Southport! After we ate lunch, the boys played in their pool and Abby & I cooled off from the hot weather. Abby didn't want to go out. She kept saying, "too hot".

















I had a really good time this week with the kids. They wore me out! I think that they all enjoyed themselves too. Have a good week (what's left of it anyway)!

So, my sister Sandy went to Guatemala on Sunday to visit Isabelle (her new baby) and I watched her other 3 kids while she was away and Jeremy worked. When I arrived on Monday afternoon, Aidan was already being his silly self! He had on Evan's dress shoes with his shorts and tank! He is way too funny! While I was there we did quite a bit. On Monday evening, we took a vote and it was decided that we would have a movie night! Their dad had rented them Curious George and Barnyard so we watched them both! While they watched the movie, they got to enjoy some yummy popcorn and kool aid. They seemed to enjoy themselves.

NEW HAIR!!!

Ok, so.....my sister Sandy wanted me to post some pics of my NEW hair. Here they are! I added one of Steph's too. :)

Thankful

Well, first...I want to say THANK YOU to anyone that participated in making my birthday special. Two weeks ago, I celebrated my birthday in Evansville w/ my sister's and my mom. On Monday, July 30th (my actual birthday) my mom brought home my favorite donut from Baesler's Market! She put a candle in it and sang "happy birthday" to me. She got me something to add to my Wizard of Oz collection! I love it! Two of my sister's gave me money for an Ipod but I couldn't see spending $80 on ONE thing! So, I bought an MP3 Player and so far, I love it. It has a LCD screen on it so that I can navigate through it and find what I want to listen to. I also got a Lia Sophia ring and I love it too:) I decided to be brave and let my 15 year old sister dye my hair! She dyed it brown and put caramel chunks in it. She put some in her hair too, she of course looks adorable! I, on the other hand, don't.
